Mr. Kirit Mehta
With a rich corporate experience over 25 plus years, Mr. Kirit Mehta explored every facet of accounting resulting in a distinguished record of helping organizations in a wide range of industries from service, manufacturing, finance to not-for-profit to overcome challenges and achieve success.
It was his good fortune of being able to give back to his alma mater what it gave to him. Mr. Mehta completed his schooling and college education in the Somaiya Group of Institutions from 1965 to 1980 and thereafter from 1983 has been fortunate to work with three generations of Somaiya Vidyavihar Trust starting with Founder Chairman Shri K.J. Somaiyain, the capacity of Teaching faculty for Junior College and Visiting faculty for Somaiya Management Institute and Internal Auditor for Educational Institutes, project office and a Limited company.
In his capacity as the founder trustee of SGKM Trust at Ghatkopar, has been successful in setting up educational institution from preschool to Grade X and Degree College through various collaborations with international institutions affiliated to Cambridge University and University of Mumbai.
Had the opportunity to work as a Consulting Director (Academics) for a reputed educational group having 23 institutes and 35000 students in Maharashtra including Preschool, ICSE and IGCSE Schools, Law College, Catering College, B.Ed and D.Ed Colleges, Engineering College, Management Institute as well as ARTS and Science Degree Colleges till March 2012.
He has been a Trustee with a 25-year-old trust having Engineering, Pharmacy Colleges along with a Commerce College offering graduation and post-graduation courses affiliated to Mumbai University till 31st of July, 2012.
The urge to innovate in education and be able to look at a broader horizon, in addition to working with like-minded educationists has led Mr. Mehta to now take on the role of the Chairman of Polygon Learning and Education Pvt. Ltd. which is taking initiative in creating support systems for parents, teachers and school management for the benefits of students in the modern times. He is also currently on the Advisory Board of the well renowned Education World Magazine.
Mr. Lawrence Fray
Mr. Lawrence Fray is a British citizen who has taught in schools in England, Ireland, Africa, the UAE and, of course, in India. He has been a resident of India for over two decades, working as a Principal, Academic Director and Inspector of CAIE (Cambridge) Candidate schools in South Asia. He has worked with Polygon for several years.
He holds Arts and Science degrees and has recently completed a Diploma in Art History and Appreciation. He teaches Mathematics, Physics, English, Thinking Skills and some aspects of History. He is also an accomplished musician.
Lawrence works with international school management teams, advising on curriculum development, payment systems, child safeguarding and mindfulness, and student placement overseas. Recently, he has developed materials for teaching the Cambridge General English AS level course, the AS Level English language course.
Although his main work has been in the Delhi NCR region and in Mumbai, his work has taken him to many schools in India.
He has also developed the ‘TLC’ course in Teaching and Learning, aimed at upskilling experienced schoolteachers, equipping new teachers with effective classroom strategies, and providing a platform for school managers to examine school development through effective assessment and data analysis.
Previously, Lawrence has worked as an industrial engineer in several high-volume manufacturing processes, and has designed training materials for the call-centre industry and other customer-interactive concerns.
